STRIKE THREE, YOU’RE OUT

18th March 2010

18 March 2010

Revelations today from business leaders have once again blown the lid off the Rudd government’s secret taxation agenda.

Let’s recap.

Strike one…

Kevin Rudd claims he’s too ‘busy’ with health reform to consider releasing the Henry Review.

Strike two…

Lindsay Tanner gives three pitiful excuses as to why the Review has not been released, all events occurred prior to the government receiving the Review.

Strike three…

Revelations this morning from ACCI Director Greg Evans that there will be a “lengthy consultation period available for business” following the release of the Review - clearly indicating that the Rudd government does not intend to finalise its secret tax agenda until after the next election.

Yet again, more talk and no action on tax reform.

Three strikes –game over.

Release the Henry Review - and the government’s detailed response - now.
